Greetings from Cambodia!

July 20, 2014

This morning we got to go to the church where the Fleenors attend. It was truly such a blessing to meet their church family and see the community they are in. There were actually two other teams from the US that we're there also! We got to experience Cambodian worship music and they even sang "I Can Sing Of Your Love Forever" to where we could sing along! What a beautiful thing it is to all worship your God together, regardless of the language barriers. A leader from another US team brought a message on Gods Promises. He shared from Psalm 23 and talked about the many promises David writes about. The most important promise from God is that He is always with us. He repeats it many times throughout scriptures which shows how important it is for us to know. God is with us in the good times and bad times. He is with us when we are happy, sad, afraid or upset. God is with us when we are in the darkest far away places, which I think is good for all of us to never forget. It was a great service and we all were excited to be there. We even invited out van driver in to come with us and were excited when he accepted! It's difficult when we cannot really speak to him or ask him questions, but we will be praying that we can be a light in his life during these few weeks we will have with him.We are about to head over to the Fleenors house and share a meal and play games with the kids. We will also be discussing some details for this upcoming week. Please continue praying for our team! That God would continually work through us and that we would listen and obey His directions. Please also pray for health and energy as we are still adjusting to the time and conditions here.Blessings,Alyssa AbbottSent from my iPad
