...Because we know very clearly from Matthew 28:18-20 that our instruction as a church is to "go and make disciples". Therefore
we want to provide as many "Gospel Opportunities" as possible to Children Around the World. In November our Shoebox gifts are sent around the world to Pastors and Missionaries (affiliated with churches, orphanages, schools and various ministries) who have put in applications to receive a certain number of shoeboxes. These pastors and missionaries are trained to hold "Shoebox Distribution Events" where the gospel is clearly presented to large groups of children. The children are given the opportunity to accept Christ. As they open their shoebox gifts the children experience "tangible expressions of God's love" for each and every one of them.
After opening their shoeboxes the children are invited to participate in a 12 week discipleship course called the "Greatest Journey" ( a twelve lesson course that includes Bible stories, Scripture memorization, and Discipleship ). Through this course they learn how to follow Christ in their daily lives and how to share Him with their friends and family. More than 24 million children have made decisions for Christ through this program. Families, Villages, Cities and Countries around the world are being reached for Christ.
We need men and women, singles and couples to help with Shoebox preparation year round. There is a job to suit everyone!
You can attend our monthly workshop to assemble the cardboard shoeboxes, prepare school supplies (pencil packs, etc), remove tags from items, make crafts, and pack shoeboxes.
If you can't attend a workshop we also need volunteers to prepare items at home.
You can be a "Year-Round" shoebox packer and pack multiple shoeboxes at your home...We will even start you off with stuffed animals for any quantity of boxes you would like to pack!
We Hope to Hear From You!
