Missions

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Christ Behind the Wall Prison Ministry (CBTW) – Marlene Harper – 559-696-8434

BTW exists to disciple the incarcerated with life-changing classes, based on the inductive study of the Word of God, to deepen their relationship with, and strengthen their faith in Jesus Christ. CBTW is committed to weekly classes that teach inmates how to study the Bible for themselves. Through this ministry, thousands of inmate’s lives have been changed by learning and applying the powerful principles of God’s Word.

Red Bank Elementary School  – Cathleen Lawler – 907-4805

From September through May, during the lunch hour or early afternoon, an hour is spent helping first or second graders read.  Must be 18 years or older to participate.  Math tutoring is also requested for after school.  We desire to start a monthly Saturday sports ministry in the fall.

YWAM – International

Youth With A Mission is a global movement of Christians from many cultures, age groups, and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world. Also known as YWAM (pronounced “WHY-wham”), we unite in a common purpose to know God and to make Him known. Back when we began in 1960, our main focus was to get youth involved in missions. Today, we still focus on youth, and we also involve people aged 8 to 80. We currently work in more than 1,100 locations in over 180 countries, with a staff of over 18,000.One of the joys of participating in YWAM is to work with people from many nations. YWAM’s staff (known as “YWAMers”) come from over 130 countries, including places like Indonesia, Nepal, Mozambique, and Colombia.

A Barnabas teams is a group of individuals who are responsible and committed to providing spiritual support to our missionaries.  This is done by praying regularly for them and finding ways to encourage the missionaries regularly.
